 | The Katalysis Bootstrap Fund is a nonprofit community loan fund committed to helping fight poverty in Central America by supporting microfinance activities. The Fund partners with an established network of nongovernmental microfinance organizations. Through this network of more than 16 local organizations, we are able to effectively and efficiently provide loans to enterprising women and men in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
The Fund is managed by a small professional staff headquartered in Stockton, California. Our board of directors is comprised of professionals with expertise in banking, international investment, business, finance, law and hands-on microfinance experience. Conscientious oversight, rigorous lending standards and strong relationships with borrowers help ensure the Fund's solvency.
