Katalysis Bootstrap Fund partners with a network of more than 16 local microfinance organizations operating in four countries in Central America. Each of the partner organizations provides small loans to people in the communities they serve. Some organizations also provide other financial and non-financial services such as savings, insurance, housing loans and business development training and technical assistance. By December 2005, these groups were providing more than $76 million in loans to more than 180,000 people in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
